Public bug reported: What happens: On the normal login screen and thereafter the desktop the screen would flicker often when the mouse or windows are moved.
I use Ubuntu profile (not flashback like previous bug report - Please see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1250729 ). Work around - sort of: A way around it is to select Advanced option during boot and then recovery mode and then continue to normal login. Then I don't experience flickering but also no gnome-panel and unity and dash and app Launcher.
