Bug description:
Availability - In Universe
Rationale - We want to remain using gnome-settings-daemon 3.8.6.1 with our
patches applied. This project is a fork of gnome-settings-daemon so we can do
that. This package will become obsolete once the Unity 8 interface is used for
the converged desktop. Forking gnome-settings-daemon allows Ubuntu GNOME to
update packages they require.
Security - Code is the same as current gnome-settings-daemon which is
considered secure
Quality assurance - Same as for current gnome-settings-daemon
UI standards - Same as for current gnome-settings-daemon
Dependencies - Same as for current gnome-settings-daemon
Maintanence - Will be maintained by Ubuntu Desktop team. Once migration
complete gnome-settings-daemon can move into Universe and be maintained by
Ubuntu GNOME team
