on                 Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

memory       1,9 GiB
processor    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8300 @ 2.83 GHz x 2
Os                 64-bit
Disk              114,1    GB

opening a new sheet on LibreOffice Calc

selecting some cell area

setting same different cell bordes size with style continius

in cells contiguous or in the same cell like building a table borders

different sezes like 0.05 pt, 0.80 pt,   1,30 pt..

saving the sheet in Microsoft Excel 95 (.xls) or Microsoft Excel 97 end
reopenig it the bordes size is lost.
