This bug appears to be related to #862813 "Power Managment settings are being ignored", though I'm not sure it's a straight-up duplicate because it would appear to be a default settings issue.

This has the unfortunate consequence of putting the host to sleep after 30 minutes, which is not desirable in a situation when the same host is meant to provide network services. This wouldn't be such a problem if there was an easy way for the user to change this, but this is not the case since GNOME 3 and its big migration to dconf. There isn't any dedicated tool to adjust GDM defaults available yet and 'gksu -u gdm gnome-control-center' won't work either because it tries to access display :0.
