Title:
  nouveau driver loads only to unity-2d

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-nouveau” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I have nouveau driver installed for a legacy driver  NV25 [GeForce4 Ti
  4600] on ubuntu 12.04.

  The system loads up the nouveau driver but logs into unity 2d only. I
  cannot get compiz working on it.

  The Xorg log is added below.

  UPDATE: If KDE is installed, all Kwin graphics work just fine. And
  Gnome shell works as well.
