James Tait, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Xorg crashed with SIGABRT on http://acko.net

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Using Firefox 23.0 from the saucy repo, I visited http://acko.net - a
quite impressive demonstration of the capabilities of webGL, for at
least the few seconds I was able to watch. I managed to pop open the
web console to look at how they achieved the effects, then my machine
froze for around 5 minutes while Xorg dumped core. The login screen
eventually reappeared, but it was totally corrupt. By pressing the
arrow keys I could get flashes of "Guest User" and "James Tait", but
not enough to be able to enter my password and do a graceful shutdown.
Ctrl-Alt-F1 didn't give me a VT. I ended up powering off the machine.

I am using the nouveau driver with an nVidia GT330M that's given me
nothing but grief in all the time I've had the laptop - perhaps the
bug report should be against nouveau instead.
