Fixed for me on 0.9.8 network-manager's version. But issue with disaapeared icon remains. But it is not so important :)

EXPECTED: Connection must be turned on and connection-name should not change. (In my case it is "Tata Indicom (Photon+) Connection"). ACTUAL: Connection is turned on, but connection name changes to something random (example "CDMA" or "") - See attachment.
