I've just tested against this defect on gedit 2.30.4 and apparently the bug has been corrected. Thanks for your collaboration and patience anyway!

It presents the following sentence: Saving file \"/path/to/file\"... I believe the filepath was supposed to be enclosed in just quotation marks, but for some purpose the backslashes appeared. Maybe the escape character to allow quotation marks within strings was doubled?
