***UPDATE*** I performed a clean install (reformatted HDD) of Lubuntu 13.10. This has since resolved the issue of the Log Out menu displaying issues on Suspend/Hibernate and Shutdown/Reboot.
If someone else is willing to also to a clean install from an upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 to confirm that this fixes the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to upower in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/961122 Title: lubuntu-logout is "not authorized" to suspend or hibernate Status in Default settings for Lubuntu: New Status in “lubuntu-default-settings” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “upower” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: lubuntu-logout used to report "not authorized" for hibernate only.
