GIMP brushes editor

Bug description:
When I select the brushes editor, (the pencil under brushes with the
sheet) the first time, it works. The other times after it doesn't
work.
And that's same for all editors, gradient etc...
It appeared in Ubuntu 11.04 and continued in 11.10
