gnome-language-selector crash while applying system-wide change

Using Ubuntu 10.10 live CD on PowerPC (ibook G4).
I was switching language from english to french. Packages downloaded and
setup normaly. Back to the language selector window, I've launch again selector
for lang pack to remove english packages. Back to the language selector
window, I applied French language to be system-wide. Then switch to the other
tab (text) and again choose to apply system-wide. Then it crash.
The automated report, previously set the title summary to
"gnome-language-selector assert failure: python: ../../src/xcb_io.c:385:
_XAllocID: Assertion `ret != inval_id' failed."
