Title: Software Centre should notify when package installation is complete Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If I install a package, I'll often change the focussed window away and carry on with some other task. As it is in Lucid, I have no way of telling when the installation is complete. What I suggest is that a notify-osd bubble is popped up when installation is complete if the window is not focussed.
