Here is the libgstshout.so file from Karmic that works in versions up to at least 12.04. Unfortunately I need the x86_64 version to get it to work on a 64-bit machine. Anyone got that file?

If I replace the plugin (/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstshout2.so) with the libgstshout2.so file from karmic (9.10), then stream plays with no errors (no socket timeout). This bug is 100% repeatable on my system.
