Bug description:
If you set a personal status message in Pidgin, then change your
status from the status indicator in the buddy list window itself, it
retains your message. But if you use the fast user switching applet or
notification area icon, Pidgin removes your status message.
While I'm using a Pidgin version I compiled myself (not the Ubuntu
package), I'm pretty sure that I've already wondered earlier (when I
used the Ubuntu package) why my status message was gone.
