Public bug reported:

Ubunutu 12.04.2 LTS
Gnome Classic

I need to create a shortcut to Libreoffice Writer (calc, ...) in my Ubuntu
12.04 Gnome Classic Desktop.

Open application menu > browse to Office > drag and drop LibreOffice
Writer icon to desktop and ...

surprise! NO .desktop is created like other cases

However system create a link file like this libreoffice-writer.desktop
pointing to ../../lib/libreoffice/share/xdg/writer.desktop

Obviously this linkk is broken and do not open LibreOffice Writer

** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
