Weirdly, wireless cannot be disabled in NM (check cannot be removed from "Enable Wireless"-option.) Additionally, the wireless switch on my laptop seems to have no effect at all (I'd expect the "Enable Wireless"-option to be grayed out when the switch is in the off position.) "Edit Connections" in NM does nothing as well... I've tried restarting the network-manager service (sudo service network-manager restart), but nothing changes. I'm wondering if this is somehow related to suspend and/or docking. Ubuntu usually gets in this state after I've gone from wireless (at home) and brought the laptop to work still powered on, docking it and connecting to the wired network .
