Just to add, I am a new user of ubuntu and empathy.  I've logged into my
new system 3 times, each time empathy has no idea I had ever entered my
account info. Once its up, its cool having all 5 accounts active...  But
each time I shutdown and login the next day, it treats me like a new
user.

  does not remember account

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Everytime I start empathy, I need to enter my account details.
  Whenever empathy closes and restarts, the information is lost.
  Currently, every time I therefore import settings from pidgin, and
  then continue.

  Observed behaviour: empathy forgets  all account information when closed
  Expected behaviour: empathy should remember account information
