The attached image shows what happens after the password screen displays if it has been idle too long: the Chromium window still stays active and on top, albeit unresponsive. While the Chrome Web Store tab is selected, Chromium is showing the contents of the background tab named Extensions (opened to chrome://extensions).
Chromium's connection with reality is so bad that even if you flip between the tabs, it won't redraw the Chrome Web Store tab. However, if I hover over the tab, I can see the mouse cursor change to the hand pointer when I am over where a clickable thing would be, and the URL does change as I click on things. This is different than what was reported earlier, where it would draw correctly but not respond to clicks. ** Attachment added: "Ubuntu 13.04 after sitting around for a while.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1173234/+attachment/3655091/+files/Ubuntu%2013.04%20after%20sitting%20around%20for%20a%20while.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173234 Title: Chromium's content doesn't respect z order, obscuring everything else Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have a fresh Ubuntu 13.04 install where I have installed nothing else besides Chromium. When I go to Chromium's Chrome Web Store, its content displays above everything else. In the attached image, note how gedit is above Chromium, yet Chromium's content area is obscuring gedit.
