I started up Ibus and the keyboard icon appeared on the panel. What you expect to happen: If you click on the icon a menu comes up with the options of "preferences", "about", "restart" and "quit". I can access all of those options except for preferences, which means I cannot change ibus to set up Japanese input. I already tried restarting the computer, restarting automatically only ibus, quit and restart manually. What happens instead. I click on "preferences" option and nothing changes or nothing is activated. This means I cannot set up Japanese input .
