Super Key + D is not minimizing all windows to show desktop

Bug description:
In my Oneiric with all updates/dist-upgrades I cannot use Super+D key
to minimize all windows. For instance, when I do that while being in
Nautilus, I get the fast search box shown in the lower right of the
window. The same with the desktop, I get that search box. Just like
the screen capture.
