jsalisbury: I tried what you told me to do, but I couldn't succeed. The problem is that I need to use this tutorial to make fglrx work at least: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1930450
So when I install the new kernel headers DKMS tells me it is not able to build the kernel module for the new kernel and aborts. (Sry for not having a real log here, but it seems that DKMS didn't respect the pipe) In result I reboot without any graphics module and am not able to test XServer ;) Any other advices? ** Tags added: kernel-unable-to-test-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1130639 Title: X-Server crash Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: gnome-session[4891]: Gdk-WARNING: gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Die Ressource ist zur Zeit nicht verfügbar) on X server :0.#012 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic 3.2.0-38.60 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-38.60-generic 3.2.37 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-38-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
