unable to play videos in movie player

Bug description:
I was able to play audio in movie player. When I try to play videos, it asks
for installing plugins. I am connected to internet so I clicked install. But
the message says no plug ins found.
1) release - 10.10
2)
3) Would have installed plugins and played the video
4) Got a message " No plugins found
