If you're still wrestling with Brasero, this package may or may not fix your problem. https://launchpad.net/~brandonsnider/+archive/cdrtools/+packages?field.name_filter=&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=lucid
It installs a maintained version of cdrecord that wodim was forked of. Wodim was dead last I checked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1085520 Title: brasero won't burn data cd or iso Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Evry time I have ever used Brasero to burn an ISO I have always has to do again using K3B. Brasero never seemed to work. Today I just wanted to make a data cd, and Brasero didn't work for that either. Here is an error log file. This is on Lucid, though so maybe when I get a chance I will try it on a newer distro version. Thing is, though, this even happened when Lucid was being supported. Maybe I should have r eported it then.
