PS. to the above:
I HAVE tried turning off the printer, deleting the CUPS+Gutenprint
v5.2.8-pre1 driver and rebooting the computer. Then turn the printer on and
re-install the CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1 driver. No change. Think there
is a print buffer-control bug in this driver.

Title:
Canon Pixma MP150 doesn't print text

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Canon Pixma MP150 worked with previous Ubuntu versions. Now it can
print image files but a single page document from Libre Office was
incomplete even though in preview it was ok. After that the printer
freezes. Canceling the job won't help. It wont do a thing and MP150 is
still showing marks as if it is working but that's all. It doesn't
  print.
