Bug description:

Using the Fn keys to decrease/increase screen brightness, the screen begins
to flicker, while the screen brightness bar display toggles between two values.
This fault occurs erratically, i.e. not always. Sometimes I can't even adjust
the brightness at all!
While the screen flickers, the cursor moves uncontinuously, making it hard to
do anything. If I'm able to do a right mouseclick on anything that pops up a
menu, the flickering stops.
This bug apparently has been reported for older versions of Ubuntu, but is
marked as fixed for Lucid. Obviously it's not!
