Not enough info to determine the cause - probably missing EDID, but it
also looks like UMS or VESA.

Title:

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hello,

I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and I can't get my external
monitor to work. The VGA port does not seem to be enabled.

I'm getting the following printout when running xrandr:

  Screen 0: minimum 800 x 600, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
  default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
     1024x768 0.0*
     960x600 0.0
     800x600 61.0

  Can someone please help me?

  Best regards Daniel
