Public bug reported: As said in the description -- the package contains the apa formatting style 'apacite'. This package is suposed to provide bibtex styles for the American Psychological Society (the APA). However, the package apacite uses the APA publications manual 5th edition, we are now on the 6th edition (so tha package style is out of date).
I also gather from looking at CTAN that apacite is no longer supported. The current bibtex style can be found in the package 'apa6'. I suggest therefore swapping apacite for apa6. ** Affects: texlive-extra (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to texlive-extra in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1117472 Title: packagae contains depreciated style 'apacite'.
