Public bug reported:

Currently there are system.pa.in , start-pulseaudio-kde.in, pulseaudio-
kde.desktop.in, start-pulseaudio-x11.in,  pulseaudio-system.conf startup
scripts for various situations.

There should also be /etc/rc.d/pulse script to start it through
/etc/rc.conf . For example, in BSD this is the major way to start
daemons. Pulseaudio shouldn't just be tied to desktop environment or to
linux system infrastructure. rc.d scripts is a valid and useful way to
start things as well.

** Affects: pulseaudio
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Package changed: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) => pulseaudio
