Title: remapped keyboard issues in vino Status in “vino” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Upon upgrade from Maverick to Oneiric, when VNCed in to the machine, my remapped keyboard is behaving oddly. I have vino 3.2.0-0ubuntu1. * My client is running Win XP, remapped to Dvorak on a native QWERTY keyboard. It types properly locally. * My server was running Maverick, remapped to Dvorak on a native QWERTY keyboard. It's now running Oneiric (11.10), same configuration. It did and does type properly locally. * My VNC client is Win32 VNCViewer version 3.3.7, which I have been using since before the upgrade. It used to type properly. * Across VNC, the keyboard now behaves almost exactly as a QWERTY keyboard, despite the fact that should be Dvorak. There are a couple exceptions: * If I paste across VNC, I get the text I copied (works correctly). * CapsLock does not do anything. * If I try to type 'W', I get '<' (which would be correct if it was actually remapped properly). All other characters I have tried are correct for QWERTY, including '<', so I can't type a capital W (but can type lowercase). * My client always has NumLock on. My server never has NumLock on. I never toggle them. Some percentage of the time when using the server locally after earlier VNCing into it, it has NumLock on.
