Marking invalid since it's actually due to a broken work around. What I think you'll need to do is get a copy of the library file (like the one that you copied into /usr/lib) and put it somewhere else - lets say /home/wherever/bodge . Now find what starts nx, and start it manually from a terminal, but before you do then do:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/wherever/bodge:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH that will cause NX to pick up it's library from /home/whereever/bodge first. It might need some debugging, but at least it won't break everything else. ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid ** Description changed: + [Dave Gilbert: This is the result of attempting the work around at + + http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2081746&highlight=nomachine + + please don't do that!] + Any time I try to view a PDF file, an icon is created in the task bar that says "opening file ...." but the file does not open.
