Public bug reported:
I ran nautilus as root (gksudo) in order to copy another user's .gconf
folder, which then got the ownership of root. In properties of the
.gconf folder, I corrected the permissions and clicked the button to
transfer them to all contained files/folders. There was no indication
that the process takes time, and the ownership of the contained
files/folders was not changed.
