Hi, I'm affected by this bug, but only when using cinnamon, not unity. Something was done in compiz to prevent this problem but this was not done in muffin/mutter.
I've found out that when using xscreensaver the issue happens as well, BUT when moving the mouse xscreensaver's password prompt shows up (with black background), and then goes away and blue comes back when the timeout expires, that sounds like some X buffer is turning blue, and xscreensaver is successful in overwriting it, while gnome-screensaver isn't. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/998735 Title: Light blue screen on primary monitor when waking up from inactivity Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have configured ubuntu to turn of screen after 10 minutes of inactivity.
