This is also true of the "Downloads" window. The file sizes there do not
conform to Ubuntu's unit policy.

Title:
Firefox uses the SI standard for base-2 units

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

Firefox uses the SI standard for base-2 units. This violates the units
  policy [1].

Testcase: Open a random page in Firefox (for example,
http://ubuntu.com) and then go to Tools -> Page Info -> General ->
Size. It should display "17.91 kB (17911 bytes)" instead of "17.49 KB
  (17911 bytes)".
