Using an Internet connection to guess your location is precisely and
solely what ubuntu-geoip is for. So while this may be a bug in
individual packages that use ubuntu-geoip, I don't see how this can
possibly be a bug in ubuntu-geoip itself.

On my Precise box i found some unwanted connections.
I never told any process/programm to do that.
