Title:
network manager can't reconnect to wireless network after suspend --
  RT2561/RT61 rt61pci

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After suspending or hibernating my system, I can't get it to reconnect
to my wireless network (or to any wireless network). The network
manager applet shows zero signal strength. Clicking the icon does not
show the available wireless networks, nothing happens. Right-clicking
indicates that the network is available and that wireless networks are
available, both boxes are checked. Unchecking and re-checking these
boxes has no effect, nor does turning wifi on and off. Two solutions
  I've found on the net:

  sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

  sudo ifconfig wlan0 down

Neither of these solutions work. The only thing I can do is reboot.
After rebooting, I've never had any problems connecting to wireless.

I'm currently using Ubuntu 9.04. The same problem occurred using
  Ubuntu 8.10.

  I'm using NetworkManager applet 0.7.0.100

My computer is a Packard Bell EasyNote MZ38-V-081 with 1Gb memory. It
has a "Foxconn T60N874 Wireless Controller". Ubuntu uses the rt61pci
driver. Full specifications of my laptop are available (in Dutch) at:
