In the Dell Case there are lower resolution options that also display the blanking behaviour. In the Unknown case, there is no other option. When the Display comes up as Dell, it randomly blanks outfor usually short (< 1 min) random periods. When the display comes up as Unknown, it dos never blanks out, except to sleep. While this is similar to Bug #1011732, echo 0x4 | sudo tee /sys/module/drm/parameters/debug followed by dmesg > monitor-blank.dmesg ..did nothing to remedy the situation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1044885/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
