In comments to bug 1068661 was proposed workaround which works for me. Here is what I've done: 1. Switch back to open-source driver. 2. Issued $ sudo apt-get install linux-header-generic command 3. Switched to AMD proprietary driver (fglrx-updates) 4. Rebooted.

But open-source drivers doesn't allow AMD APP SDK to use GPU as an OpenCL device, so they cannot be used as a replacement for proprietary drivers for OpenCL-related tasks. Bug 1068661 describes this problem as a problem with hybrid (integrated and discrete) graphics. But my configuration does not have integrated card. So I decided to make a separate report.
