It may not be valid in Quantal but as it still exists in 12.04 LTS is it appropriate that it is marked invalid? Would not Won't Fix be the appropriate status?

The Ubuntu icon is shown for both. Even clicking that icon does not show which is currently selected, it shows the options but does not show which is currently selected. This is annoying if one has to use both at different times. I have to use 2d when I have an external monitor plugged in as the hardware will not support 3d in that situation. When I am just using the laptop display I use 3d. I suggest that different icons should be used for 2d and 3d ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: unity-greeter 0.2.7-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-23.36-generic 3.2.14 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-23-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Apr 14 16:56:49 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Alpha i386 (20111129.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity-greeter UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/981687/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
