Title:
  [Satellite P850, Realtek ID 280, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all.
  However, sound does work if headphone jack is used.

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Tested with base Ubuntu ALSA driver.

  Then downloaded and built latest ALSA driver (1.0.25) from source.

  Also applied recent Ubuntu precise-proposed update that was supposed
  to fix lack of support for Realtek 280 chipset.

  Still no sound from speakers, even though get sound if you use
  headphone jack.
