Steps to reproduce: 1: Download a certificate, e.g. from http://ca.sikkerhed.org/ (direct url: http://sikkerhed.org/files/certificates/sikkerhedorg.crt) 2: Save the certificate to a file. 3: Open Thunderbird 4: Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Certificates 5: In the Certificate Manager open Authoritie 6: Click Import 7: Browse to the saved certificate from (http://ca.sikkerhed.org) 8: The dialog Downloading Certificate opens. 9: Observe the following: * The options given are: - Trust this CA to identify web sites. - Trust this CA to identify email users - Trust this CA to identify software developers. * These three options makes *no sense* for a CA in Thunderbird. What the user wants is to trust the CA to identify IMAP servers, SMTP servers, etc. Not web sites. Others things wrong with this: * There is no explanation of what a CA is and what it means to trust it. * The window title is Downloading Certificate. This does not make sense as the certificate is loaded from a local file and not downloaded. It seems that this is just a hunk of code that is reused from Firefox without thinking.
