I didn't want to open another bug, so I am here to say this bug still exist. On Precise and Quantal if I try to open an image which is larger than my screen (1366x768) the window of eog doesn't fit the screen, I can't see the statusbar, and sometimes a big part of an image. I hope you can find a solution now, because it is very annoying that I have to resize the window every time...
