Title:
Screen resolution reset to low resolution

Status in “nvidia-graphics-drivers” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

Running 9.10. My screen res was 1204x1024 yesterday. When started
system today the res was set to 1024x768 and I can't change it to the
correct res (I'd not added or upgrading anything). I tried editing
xorg.conf and using NVIDIA tool but couldn't change to required res. I
tried upgrading to 10.4 but still no luck. I have a LC FLATRON
  monitor.
