Title:
Unity does not display application menus, side bar not showing running
  apps

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Since I upgraded yesterday, I cannot see the application menu in the
unity top bar, and the side bar is not showing the running application
(arrows). It seems that unity is completely detached from the running
  apps. I attach screenshot.
