I opened Libre Office writer, clicked on File>Recent Documents. I have been experimenting recently with a template (.ott) and I clicked on it, to open. Nothing much appeared to happen for the next 15 seconds or so, so I clicked on File> again and the writer window darkened, then crashed (disappeared). Nothing left running on the system. Subsequent to this apport report, I started up writer again, which led me to the crash recovery screen for "Untitled" (not my template), which recovered ok (apparently). clh@nice:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu quantal (development branch) Release: 12.10 clh@nice:~$ apt-cache policy libreoffice libreoffice: Installed: (none) Candidate: 1:3.6.1~rc2-1ubuntu3 Version table: 1:3.6.1~rc2-1ubuntu3 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/universe i386 Packages ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: libreoffice-core 1:3.6.1~rc2-1ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-14.15-generic 3.5.3 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-14-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.5.1-0ubuntu7 Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Sep 9 14:00:01 2012 Disassembly: => 0xfffe9c81: Cannot access memory at address 0xfffe9c81 ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha i386 (20120905.2) ProcCmdline: /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --writer --splash-pipe=6 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_CA:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SegvAnalysis: Segfault happened at: 0xfffe9c81: Cannot access memory at address 0xfffe9c81 PC (0xfffe9c81) not located in a known VMA region (needed executable region)!
