nothing on second (HDMI} display, wrong identification

Bug description:
A Sony 32'' TV attached thru the HDMI port, is identified as a Sony 72'' TV,
but in any case there is nothing showing on the external screen.
The laptop is dual boot with Win7, which have no problem with the Tv. Hence,
a driver question.
