I love Ubuntu in general, but this is one of the issues I have with the O/S. This problem is almost a year old. Two O/S versions later and I'm still having the problem in 12.04.01 and there is no sign of the issue ever being addressed or fixed.
Sure, it is not a huge problem. Closing and restarting fixes the problem temporarily.
