Title: Nautilus very slow opening larger folders Status in Nautilus: Confirmed Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: nautilus Load Time 10-30 seconds to open /usr/share directory with 333 entries. 46-500+ seconds to open /usr/share/doc with 1,582 entries. 120-165 seconds to open /usr/bin with 1,762 entries. 28-32 seconds to open /usr/lib64 with 1,685 entries. 90 to 100% CPU usage. "Not responding" when trying to close. Closes OK when it is not working on a large folder. i7-980, 12 gig ram, fresh install 10.10, 2.6.35-22 64 bit, Evolution 2.30.3 no plugins, Nautilus 3.32.0, gnome-terminal 2.32.0, current updates, ext4 partitions.
