Tried to use 'open with' and gedit was not listed a primary file to open text files but in additional progs instead, which when tried crashed also. There was no problem immediatly after apt-get update, upgrade, autoremove, distro-update, autoclean, reboot: everything was working like clockwork but a few hours later crash city.
