Title:
Thunderbird unstable in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS distro
Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
It has occurred to me twice now that Thunderbird, as released through
the Ubuntu distro and later through the Software Centre, crashed upon
startup. This happened with Thunderbird 14.0 about 6 weeks ago and now
again with the new Thunderbird 15. While this may be a Thunderbird
problem, I report it here, because this happens only when I install
Thunderbird via the Ubuntu Software Centre. As soon as I get a
download from Mozilla the same two packages work without a hitch. With
Thunderbird 14 I thought it might be a one-off, but now it has
happened again with 15... In both cases I have reported the crash to
Mozilla.
