Title:
Software Centre does not run a package list update after adding new
  sources

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This bug is based on the below question. It has been around for a
while. When you add a new software source like partner repos there is
no force apt-get update or pop-up asking you to update the package
list. So the user goes back to software list and his packages are not
  there.

Running apt-get update solves the problem, but it shouldn't have to be
done. Only way to get the packages updated via gui is to either
install synaptic or hit dash and launch software updater, neither of
those to options should have to be done.

As stated in the documentation, mention below, there should be a
dialog to update the packages. Please could this dialog be replaced.

I added a new repository to my apt sources list using the Ubuntu Software
Centre.
But I didn't found how to update the list.
The package on that new repo didn't appear on the searches.

I had to go to the terminal and issue the "apt-get update" in order to
  find and install the package.

Reading the Ubuntu documentation I found:

  «Adding Ubuntu Software Repositories

  (...)

Select "Close" to save your changes. A dialog box should appear,
asking whether you'd like to update the list of repositories. Select
  "Reload" to update the list.»

This didn't happened! The dialog box didn't open.

  The repo I added was:
  deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/lion-simba/bino-mt/ubuntu
YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE main

  I'm using 11.10
